Sarina Jain, America’s first cross-cultural fitness star is the creator of the Masala Bhangra® Workout. She is an energetic fitness innovator, music-video choreographer and international television/radio personality. She hosts her own TV segment on Discovery Channel’s Fit TV and has a show on Exercise Her regular appearances on NBC’s “Today,” and other major media have catapulted her to fame across mainstream America, and solidified her place as “Jane Fonda” of America.

Jain introduced her Bhangra-style fitness routine to the U.S. with her first workout tape in 1999, and has since directed and produced a total of seven workouts in her Masala Bhangra® Workout video/DVD series. She has been a certified fitness instructor for more than 18 years plus and now travels internationally to successfully cultivate a larger audience for her cross-cultural fitness ideas.

THE MASALA BHANGRA® WORKOUT Dance your way to fitness! The Masala Bhangra® Workout is derived from two Indian words: • Masala, which means ‘spicy’ in Hindi, and • Bhangra, which is a traditional folk dance from the northern state of Punjab, India

The Masala Bhangra® Workout is an exercise dance routine that modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance steps and the exhilaration of Bollywood (Hindi film) moves. This unique dance mixes cardiovascular with fun, and is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels. It is a certified fitness program up backed up by the fitness boards.

MASALA BHANGRA® WORKOUT BENEFITS The Masala Bhangra® Workout is a complete cardiovascular workout utilizing Indian folk dance. One can burn up to 500 calories per class (depending on the individual).
